According the Amazon UK site, the DVD for CDF will be released on 2/15/10...nothing announced for the US yet, but i'm sure it will be around the same time.

My friend and I have been dying to watch The Vampire's Assistant. Since everyone else in the world saw the movie we were totally left out . ANYWAY! Its finally here, and the release date is 10-12-2009 in the UAE, i'm not sure about the other countries though. IM SO EXCITED!!!~

Darren.. Help me.. I want to collect all of your Books.. The problem is all of the Bookstore here in the Philippines is only selling the Books 1,2 and 3 of Cirque Du Freak.. dang* I'm addicted to it!!

I know not everyone liked the movie. I myself was rather under impressed. I just want to know why other people didn't like it. I really don't want you to put in you two cents if it's only "The vamapneze weren't purple," or "Madam Octa wasn't the right colors." Stuff like that hardly matters. In its first week of release, Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant topped the film charts in Ukraine, flying straight in at #1!!! It dropped to #3 in its second week.

In Russia it entered the chart at #2.

Hi guys, didn't really know where to put this but here is good. I am an administrator on the Cirque du Freak Wiki, a Wiki about all things Darren Shan. This includes the Saga of Darren Shan, Demonata series, movie and even his lesser known The City trilogy, well it is two books and an unreleased one but hey.

I was wondering whether any one would be able to help out on it. You don't have to be great at editing wikis but experience would be helful. We are missing out on...

So I had a few questions about the movie that will either give it redemption or keep me disappointed:

1) Was Darren Shann involved in the creation of the movie?
2) Why was the plot so twisted?

Wasn't Steve pretending to be a vampire hunter before Darren ever discovered he was vampese (I haven't read the books in awhile so sorry if that is mispelled)
I didn't remember Des Tiny having such a large role either. In the books he was more...

So..uh...are we getting a sequel?

Are we? I have a feeling they won't make one because of how bad it did in the box office. It's really disappointing because this couldve made so much more with a little something called advertising! They took so long to start advertising this! They started advertising new moon (yuck) in the summer! Oh well, you never know! They could take a chance and make a sequel ( which I hope they do)

I spent the last while reading reviews on the film and the comments people leave hurt me inside. Twilight has a lot to answer for! I cannot count the number of people who are giving out about this film because of the fact that they think vampires are over done! We moved in first! CDF movie has been in the planning for years!

rebbecca replaces sam by being the first one to drink from and which means there would not need to be a sam anymore.

I haven't actualy seen the film yet. I heard about four years ago that it was getting made, and have been impatient since. I'm supposed to be going to see it tomorrow, but I'm scared it may actually ruin the books for me. I watched the trailer last night and really think it looks like it could be horribly bad!!
