So I had a few questions about the movie that will either give it redemption or keep me disappointed:

1) Was Darren Shann involved in the creation of the movie?
2) Why was the plot so twisted?

Wasn't Steve pretending to be a vampire hunter before Darren ever discovered he was vampese (I haven't read the books in awhile so sorry if that is mispelled)
I didn't remember Des Tiny having such a large role either. In the books he was more...

So..uh...are we getting a sequel?

Are we? I have a feeling they won't make one because of how bad it did in the box office. It's really disappointing because this couldve made so much more with a little something called advertising! They took so long to start advertising this! They started advertising new moon (yuck) in the summer! Oh well, you never know! They could take a chance and make a sequel ( which I hope they do)

I spent the last while reading reviews on the film and the comments people leave hurt me inside. Twilight has a lot to answer for! I cannot count the number of people who are giving out about this film because of the fact that they think vampires are over done! We moved in first! CDF movie has been in the planning for years!

Is anyone else really annoyed at the amount of people who won't give this film a chance because they think it is a take off, or a parody, or in some where...

rebbecca replaces sam by being the first one to drink from and which means there would not need to be a sam anymore.

I haven't actualy seen the film yet. I heard about four years ago that it was getting made, and have been impatient since. I'm supposed to be going to see it tomorrow, but I'm scared it may actually ruin the books for me. I watched the trailer last night and really think it looks like it could be horribly bad!! I started reading the Vampire Blood triology after I watched it, just so I could compare more easily and see what I'm right or wrong about, but obviously I might be...

Can someone tell me, after I've watched this movie. Is this meant to be the first three books or someone elses imagination, having just heard the name and thought of some crappy ideas. Doesn't Darren have to endorse these ideas and if he has, WAKE UP MAN!

Im not sure if this has been asked before but in the trailer, it shows Darren in Evra's tent fall from the ceiling and Evra says "That is one awesome vampire power man"
i cant remember seeing that in the movie, maybe its just me and my brain was focused on the awesomeness of it that by the end i couldnt remember. Was it in there?

The movie in my opinion was a 3 or 4 out of 10.
I had been expecting the movie for two years, anxious to see the books be made into a visual.
It was disappointing, Nothing like the books at all.

Problems:
Chris Massoglia the guy who played the character darren, didnt have any experience with acting at all. He didnt put any emotion into his act at all, he could have done an amazing job, if he read the books and did the best he could.
For the third book they didnt...

i went to see the movie on Saturday, i have not read the books since they came out so i cant remember all of the small details.
1) they didnt mention desmond tiny or des tiny, it was allways desmond or mr tiny, just didnt make it clear what happend,
2) is it me or did they show the big fight at the end of the searise (between darren and steve) right at the begining?
3) mr tiny kept calling darren and steve "son", when i read "sons of destiny" there was a...

Mr.Tiny and the purple-ness

I was kinda looking forward to the Mr.Tiny in a yellow suit and green wellingtons, but that would have just been too comical and everyone would have been cringing with embarrasment every time he came on screen, so Im kinda glad they changed it to a nice crisp suit xD

But, what was with the purple lighting and the purple fog when Mr.Tiny was in Darrens house!?! It looked terrible and tacky and FAKE!

What was the point of it, does anyone know?

First of all, I just went to see the movie and I love it! I know the movie didnt hold true to the books, but hey, do they ever? And I know Darren personally requested that they add in some humour, and it was done very well I might add! (Crapsley xD)

Anyway, I just have a quick question on Madam Octa. She escapes from the school after she bites Steve, but how did Crepsley get her back? Did she just somehow wander back to him or did Darren go after her or what?

Okay, i saw this movie today i was quite upset about all the changes before going into the theatre but after the movie ended i was pleasantly suprised. It was a bloody awesome movie!! I loved it!

John was awesome, chris was awesome, steve was awesome etc.

My worst moments was with mr tall, the cirque show, and parts with mr tiny in the car. Some of my problems with these scenes are to do with not understanding what the characters are saying cause there speaking...

Why is it that the majority of critics bashing it are...

The major ones? Most of the bad reviews I've seen are coming from these well known critics who keep comparing it to Twilight, which is complet stupidity! Yet the majority of the fan reviews I've read say they loved it! And there the ones that were supposed to be the hardest to please considering we've read the books. I don't get it. Anyone else notice this?
