What do you think the CDF movie trailer will be like? |

I had a dream that I saw the CDF movie trailer. After that, some more ideas of what the commercial might be like came to my head. My first thought was seeing
Steve and Mr. Creplsey on the stage, then hearing Steve saying, "I know who you are.." Then going black.
Lol 
What do you think the commercial for the movie might be like? |

I don't really care what it looks like, i'm more concenred about actually seeing it..
But If I invisioned it, I suppose it would look alot like a fade in to the theater front, then Darrenw alking up the steps. We follow him down a ratty hallway to MR. Tall who waves him in past a set of curtains, to a freakshow jsut starting, then it fades to the shot of the spider on the table, then back to a sceen of Darren looking up in awe a the spider, then some diolouge - possibly some type of refferance to the spider, then an abulance speeidng away from the shan hose (With Steve) then while that is in the backround, the relese date and that sort of stuff comes out, then it fades to black, and another dioluge "Waht is your best frined woth to you?" or something like that, then it cuts to the film title and out.. |

And no matter what, the film will probably be better than most of the stuff i've seen that may be coming out this year.. |

Yeah, it is. But Darren said it's not coming out early this year. So keep you're eyes open at Summer.
Hmmm, for a trailer? I would say for it to be like this: Darren's hanging out with his friends, Alan runs towards his friends with a flyer, Darren reads out what is on the paper, a wide grin on his face, fades out and into the Cirque Du Freak, shows some of the freaks to get you hyped up and grossed out, then you see a scene with Larten Crepsley and Madam Octa on stage, then fast paced scenes from the movie going through the trailer i.e. Sam Grest, the Wolfman howling at Sam trying to claw its way out of the cage( to have that certain dreadful foreshadowing of what will happen), Murlough and thennnnn........CIRQUE DU FREAK 2009! Then whatever they're tagline is. |

I imagine the trailer like this..the dialogue is different to the book but of course it would be
Open..Steve on Stage..."I know what you are... A VAMPIRE!!" Cue Universal logo and any other studio involved Cut to Darren holding flyer..."Cirque Du Freak" Cut to Mr Dalton "These shows were banned years ago every now and then you hear of one but usually its a scam" Cut to Wolfman attacking woman.......Cut to Madam Octa...Cut to Crepsley sucking Steves blood.."youre EVIL"...Darren stealing Madam Octa...Octa Biting Steve.....Steve looking dead...Cue Title in bright letters Short and simple |

I envision the trailer to be like this:
Alan giving the flyer to Darren, who reads it loudly so Steve and Tommy, gathered around him can also hear. then some of the freaks appear on stage doing what they do best, amaze the audience and you can hear Darren's voice in the backgrond, reading their names from the flyer. Then a short clip of Mr. Crepsley with madame octa and directly after that Steve saying "you... you're a vampire!" Then a coffin lid is shut and the screen fades to black OR, You can see the CDF flyer floating in the air, and a current of wind slaps it on the camera lens, for us the TV screen, and the flyer it reads Cirque du Freak the names of the freaks, the date it comes to the movie theater and the rating. (hopefully NOT a PG). However, Alan giving the flyer to Darren is very unlikely, seeing as he's not even a character in the movie. |

Yeah, one big issue with most of your ideas are taht there faithfull to the book, wich the film isnt.. If it was going to be more form the books, your ideas
would be awesome!
And As for the film, i've heard later on this year.. |

Well, It is assumed everyone here has at least read the first second and third books...
I read the CDF script, and based on that, is how I wrote mine.. I know it wasn't the finalized script, but apparently it's close.. |

when the film is a good few months away from being released i would just have a black screen and then Cirque du freak comes on in blood, then drips off the
screen and a spider runs across the screen. Then coming soon.
Then closer to the time, i would have steve saying to crepsley i know what you are, then fade out to darren on the balcony, all sound blanked out but darren looks shocked. Then fades out, cuts to crepsley standing over darren who is standing over a dead body with blood on his lips. Then the title comes in and all the other crap that no-one cares about, APART from the date of course. |

Yeah, they do rush the end a fair bit. But hopefully in the final version it's slown down a bit to make it followable..

It's not the offical one, it was the first draft of the final.. But apprently not a whole lot has changed in the final.. :/
